Presenting Complaint

  • Anorexia of several days duration after escaping from the yard. Possible ingestion of garbage. Foreign material within feces.

Physical Examination

  • Rectal temperature = 104F, Heart Rate = 130 bpm, Respiratory Rate = 30 bpm
    Lethargic
    Tick found on left ear pinna
    Hematochezia with mucous
    Small red mass within anus

Plan

  • CBC/Chemistry – increased ALP (1477 U/L), hyperglobulinemia (4.3 g/dl), hypercholesterolemia (371 mg/dl), stress leukogram, hyperproteinemia (8.7 g/dl), increased fibrinogen (700 mg/dl)
