Interpretation

Radiographic Findings

Thorax:

  • There is a convex soft tissue opacity within the cranial aspect of the right hemithorax. This soft tissue mass is displacing the cranial aspect of the right cranial lung lobe caudally. Underlying rib structures are within normal limits. Incidental findings include narrowing of intervertebral disc space and end plate sclerosis at T4-5 and T5-6.

Radiographic Impressions:

  • Soft tissue mass within the cranial aspect of the right hemithorax. This mass may originate from pleural, thoracic wall or pulmonary tissue. Rule outs should include neoplasia and granulomatous disease. Recommend ultrasound or computed tomography for further evaluation if clinically indicated.
