Interpretation

Radiographic Findings:

There is increased soft tissue opacity in the caudodorsal lung fields on the lateral view and overlying the caudal portion of the cardiac silhouette and cranial portion of the diaphragm at midline on the ventrodorsal view.

Esophagram:

The contrast material stopped caudal to the base of the heart on the lateral view.

Radiographic Impressions:

Caudal esophageal mass. Differential diagnoses should include foreign body, granulomatous disease, neoplasia, or abscess

Endoscopic Findings:

Large bolus of dog food was logded in the distal esophagus.
