Interpretation
Radiographic Impressions:
Severe bilateral renomegaly. Differentials should include perinephric pseudocyst, infectious or granulomatous disease, hydronephrosis, polycystic kidney disease, and neoplasia.
An intravenous pyelogram was performed and revealed normal sized kidneys. The left kidney was surrounded by a perinephric pseudocyst. The right kidney pseudocyst was aspirated prior to performing the IVP.
Ultrasonographic Impressions:
Suspect chronic renal changes. Bilateral perinephric pseudocysts.
