Interpretation

Radiographic Findings:

There is a large area of geographic lysis which extends:

• from the level of the rostral aspect of the maxilla caudally to the level of the second premolar

• and the extreme right side at the level of the canine tooth towards the left across the midline to include and involve the palatine fissure.

Incidental findings include the loss of the second incisor at the right upper arcade.

Radiographic Impressions:

Expansile mass causing destruction of the maxilla consistent with malignancy. Epulus would be considered most likely.

Histopathology results:

Normal gingiva with suspect bone cyst.
