Interpretation

Radiographic findings:

There is dorsal displacement of the trachea. Ventral and left sided border effacement of the diaphragm. There is a right mediastinal shift. There is border effacement of the left side of the cardiac silhouette. The gastric axis and small intestines are cranially positioned. Soft tissue opacity representing the small intestines is seen ventrally starting at the caudal portion of the left cranial lung lobe extending in to the peritoneal cavity takening up the majority of the left hemithorax.
