Case Follow-Up

  • Further diagnostics included a Jamshidi needle biopsy which gave a diagnosis of unknown sarcoma. Due to location and appearance, osteosarcoma is the presumed diagnosis. The osteolysis was progressive and radiation treatments were started with a plan of 3 total treatments. The dog is doing well at home at this point but the overall prognosis for osteosarcoma that is not resectable is 6 to 12 months.
